Clinical Trials The
GO Health Cen CCID Sponsored Clinical Trials Dentistry - Periodontal Male subjects aged 50 years and older with a healthy mouth and having at least 20 teeth are needed for a 1-year clinical research study. This study will assess the effect of having healthy gums on markers of general health. Eligible subjects will receive dental cleanings at no charge, plus an incentive of $175 paid at the completion of the study. For information or a screening appointment please call the UNC School of Dentistry GO Health Center at 919-966-5271 Dentistry - Periodontal Male and female subjects aged 35 to 64 years with moderate to severe periodontal (gum) disease for which no treatment is currently being received are needed for a 6-month clinical research study. This study will assess whether irrigation and rinsing with a mint antiseptic will be of benefit, in addition to traditional scaling and root planning, in the treatment of periodontal disease. Eligible subjects will receive scaling and root planning at no charge, plus a one-time incentive of $175 paid at the completion of the study. Dentistry - Periodontal Male and female subjects aged 35 to 64 years with gum disease who at least 20 remaining teeth are needed for a 1-year clinical research study. This study will assess the effect of various forms of gum treatment on markers of general health. Eligible subjects will receive certain treatments for gum disease at no charge, plus an incentive of $175 paid at the completion of the study.
